Welcome to the Hopkins Middle School Media Center
The Hopkins Middle School Media Center invites parents and community members to visit us at any time during the regular school day. We look forward to community participation in our activities. Parent volunteers are always welcomed.
The Media Center administers the STAR reading test, which provides teachers with a student reading range for the Accelerated reader program. We actively encourage and support the students in the use of the AR program. Students are provided a time for check out and test taking. Student progress reports are given to the teachers weekly. We encourage our students to work on comprehension, and we reward the students for their efforts.
The media center seeks to provide technology instruction to the faculty, staff, and students and to provide the resources necessary for total integration of technology into the curriculum. We also support and follow the guidelines of the District's Acceptable Use Policy.
